Drunken Snowman
A windy day, though not as bad as I thought it would be. Other places seem to have suffered badly. Daughter One came over from Mull last night and the ferry was delayed, but made it at least.
Our usual Saturday morning visit to the pier for fresh fish and a quick trip to the library. Called in to Homebase, which has finally admitted that it will be closing in February, and bought a few things including a fairly simple battery powered leaf blower, 50% off.
After lunch we drove a few miles south to the Knipoch Hotel, which was advertising a Christmas Market. I found it very disappointing - a wooden hut on the lawn with four stalls selling a small range of items. I'm afraid it wasn't worth driving to! I suppose the weather might have had something to do with it. Even the Snowman, tied up at the door, kept blowing over then blowing back up again - maybe he'd been at the mulled wine!
Off to the Panto tonight - Aladdin! Probably only the third time I've seen one.
Quote of the day: 'Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies!' - Francis P. Church.
