Storm Darragh
Rain and wind batter the windows... each racing drop showing a twisty reflection of the houses opposite our back windows.
Being inland and somewhat sheltered by the surrounding buildings, we are getting off lightly compared to others. Richard checked in on the phone with his sister in Larne, to find that many local roads have been closed by fallen trees across N Ireland.
So it's been a largely indoor day, though I did do one small job in the garden, tying in a rambling rose that was threatening to tumble away from the wall. I picked up the car, now repaired. And baked a loaf of bread: definitely a pleasure to do on such a stormy day.
