Macarons

Mademoiselle Macaron, Edinburgh 

I was given a gift voucher for a macaron class last Christmas and only got round to using it today! A really enjoyable class and a privilege to be taught by real experts. In the photo the macarons are resting to form their skin before baking. (I piped the orange ones at the back)

I hadn't made macarons before, so hoping they turn out ok (you should not eat macarons on the day they are made, so they are tucked away in the fridge!) Learnt some strong fundamentals, including how to hold a piping bag properly. Not sure I'm confident to make my own without supervision but maybe I'll have a go at some point.

Went with S to visit M in Juniper Green in the afternoon.
