Founding Fathers
(7/12/24)
It was nice to be in the office today. I only wish I had remembered to take my camera. It was a gorgeous, clear day. I could have got some fantastic aerial shots and if not that, the office has been decorated particularly well this year. I definitely want to record that.
My blip is the only picture I took today - using my phone. It is of the UAE's founding fathers. On the right is Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Ruler of Abu Dhabi. It's interesting that the Arabic writing says Zayed and Rashid and names them in the right order. I love the modern font they've used. Arabic is so rounded and cursive. This font is straight lines. I'd love to know what an Arabic-speaking person thinks of it.
As you can imagine, four days off at the busiest time of the year without switching off the work laptop at all meant there was loads waiting for me. I ploughed my way through it, finishing as much as possible.
