Leaks

A busy day with a friend. A quick trial tent erection, then we moved some furniture up and down stairs, followed by a trip to Stoney Cove dive centre (for him to go to the shop). I did a bit of diving several years ago, but I can't remember a lot of what I learned. It's great fun but also quite technical, and I think the most kit-heavy (in both senses of the word!) activity I've encountered.

We came back and lit the barbecue, at which point the heavens opened. It was so heavy that several leaks appeared indoors - it's an old house. We decided to use the grill instead.

Later I heard that my mother had been taken into hospital for surgery on a hernia that had appeared that morning. Sounds like it was all taken care of quickly which is good for her and also leaves less time for worrying; she was out of theatre before midnight.
