Quarter Moon

I went out with the Frenchies this evening to find the rainy weather had moved out and the sky was clear.
A quarter Moon was shining brightly down on us.
The online almanac reports it is 6 days old, in the waxing crescent phase of its lunar cycle and it is 40% illuminated tonight.
