Nice to look out before dawn and see stars in the sky after yesterday’s rain. I checked the weather forecast and it showed strong winds blowing from the north.

I worked out that if I left the house about 8 o’clock I could walk to Waterhead, have a wander around Borrans Park, along the prom, past the Youth Hostel and get the 9.13 bus back to the centre of Ambleside. It worked well and the bus ride saved me walking back into the cold wind.

Then a Sunday treat. I headed around to Stiles coffee shop for breakfast.
