Let's hear it for the kids :-)

Bit wet this morning. Not to worry! Cup of hot chocolate while me and hubby wrestled with the pop-up tent and the kids were happy as Larry.

They managed a quick play with the 'Campsite Kids' before we left. Niamh (5 yrs old) had proposed to eldest the night before but she seemed to be over the rejection by today.

Although my boys achieved a new level of muckiness over the weekend, Niamh ramped it up considerably this morning. She had on her waterproof trousers, her wellies and a nice long raincoat. However, once on the tyre swing dangling over an epic puddle, her raincoat served less as a water-protection device and more as a massive puddle-scoop that scooped up massive amounts of puddle-water and sent it skooshing up her back with every swing. Hilarious.

I love the fact that kids will put up with huge amounts of discomfort just for the experience of something new or fun. They get mucky, sandy, wet, cold, whatever, because they want to do new stuff and experience new things. Big up the kids!
