Lincoln Ice Adventure

This weekend has seen another sculpture trail around the city, this time featuring ice sculptures. It can't have been easy keeping them maintained during the very wet weather we've experienced today and some of the pieces we'd expected to see were missing, others moved to different locations. 

Some of them were hard to photograph due to backgrounds being cluttered or the wrong colour. Of the shots I took this one is my favourite.

Although it rained all the time we were out and we were once again soaked to the skin when we got home, it was a fun walk through the park to the cathedral area then down the hill and along the high street and back via Sincil Street. For me it was brightened by a mulled wine bought from a cabin by the castle.

We're home, dry and getting thawed out now. I have a warm cat on my lap to aid the process!
