Flowers for A

Arranged a floral bouquet for my colleague A who sadly had her eight year old dog Brodie put down last week after a battle with cancer. The surprise flowers brought a smile.

I apologised they were a bit rustic as I’d bought a few bunches in the 99p each buckets at the garden centre yesterday to make an arrangement for my dining table. But A said it was lovely and she liked the idea of being resourceful.

We met in the cosy community pub in her village of Bethersden and sat by the fire with coffees. A productive session. Rest of the afternoon back at my desk and skipped swimming as the storm had started blowing.

This evening watched a couple of episodes of Black Doves, a new spy thriller on Netflix. I know the locations crew who worked on the show and in fact the supervising location manager is my mentor from the recent training course. We are meeting in person hopefully next week to go through the script breakdown from the show. Should be interesting.
