To the museum
We went to Liège by bus and train to visit the Boverie museum and then stroll around the Christmas market.
We found the exhibition Paul Delvaux and his universe very worthwhile despite the rather high entrance fee of the museum. We are not used to paying entrance in the Netherlands, since we have a museum card.
After our museum visit we walked to the city center for the small Christmas market. We are not interested in what is for sale in terms of knick-knacks or drinks and food, but there is a special atmosphere at a Christmas market. In Liège it is a small one and today it was not very extremely busy. Just the way we like it.
We concluded our visit to Liège with a lunch on the cozy terrace of l'Ange Vin. It was a pleasant atmosphere because of the large group of protesting Gang des Vieux en Colère. They sang a couple of protest songs and handed out leaflets.
We have had a nice day in Liège.
