Life through the lens...

Halifax Piece Hall Christmas Market.

This morning we had to pickup a click and collect order at Sainburys in Halifax, and so made the most the a free 2 and a 1/2 hour parking to visit the Piece Hall.

It wasn’t raining but the wind was quite strong and cold!
It was good that it was still open despite storm Darragh as many Christmas markets have been cancelled this weekend. Also the Santa Special on the North Yorks Railway.
Such a shame. So many disappointed children.

Due to the weather conditions this is the only photo I took.
After a look round the shops and stalls our son treated us to a beef burger. Thought it was expensive but must say it was one of the best I have tasted for a long time. Certain good quality beef.

I went into Sainsbury’s to buy my Christmas poinsettia, but came away empty handed.
90% of them were dead.
Whoever looks after the plants and flowers wants sacking!

We were lucky with the weather as it started pouring down just before we got back home.
After putting the shopping away I went to Oakwell Hall as the local choir were singing.
Not many people about I’m afraid but a handful of us enjoyed the Christmas music.

I bought a few Christmas presents for Jude and Leo before returning home for a cuppa.

Now settling down to watch TV and the Strictly results. Will be interesting to see who the public have voted for.

Hope you are all safe after the storm.
Better weather next well they say.

Today’s Advent Cheese No. 8 Double Gloucester.

Joke.
My grandfather invented wig weaving machine. He passed it down to my father and my father passed it down to me. It’s a family hair loom.

Go on laugh!

I have a parcel from Lakeland being delivered by Evri. Watch this space!
