Dee Estuary
Today's the day ........................ for normal service to resume
What a difference a day makes when it comes to weather. Today has been wall-to-wall sunshine and only a moderate breeze. And when you contrast it with the gales and lashing rain of the past few days, you gratefully enjoy it.
The road-mending crew arrived again today (see extra) and got to work - this time putting down the new surface. I have to say it made fascinating viewing (honestly!) and I now know that the bit of equipment vital to the job is called a Barber Greene Asphalt Paver. That's it right in the middle with a sort of gaping mouth, waiting to receive its next load of asphalt from the Peacock truck. They didn't quite finish the job, so will be back again next weekend.
Apart from that, Will was in the garden working on his garden project, which is almost finished too. And I went for a lovely walk along the River Dee as it widens out into the estuary - to bring you the above .....................
