Light Festival

The girls were put off swimming today by Storm Darragh. I was determined to swim and I did contemplate going to Redbrook on my own, but I thought it might be quite wild up on Saddleworth and foolish to go on my own. So, I booked on the organised one at Sale Waterpark.

There weren’t many people booked on, for some strange reason. It was very windy, very choppy and verrrrrry cold. I did two laps of the course and was in for at least twenty minutes. I was very glad I had my new heated gilet with me, it was lovely and toasty.

I picked up my picture from Salford Art Gallery as the exhibition has finished and then did a bit of shopping before heading off to the Quays for the light festival. Pat came along too and we walked all round the Quays. I did like the running men as they lit up one after another so it was like those flicky paper things where you flip the pages and a man appears to move. Simple but effective. It was bitterly cold but…..oh my heated gilet was marvellous lol.
