Tractor Run

I saw the Markfield Young Farmers' Club advertising their tractor run a few weeks ago.I had thought I would Cecily down to the Bull Ring to watch but, as those of you who are UK based will know, we've been suffering Storm Darragh this weekend. An Irish name if ever I saw one for which we must thank the Irish Meteorological Service.

It rained all day, and was still raining as I prepared to leave the house shortly before 6 pm. Len refused to come with me. It's such a pity that he cannot comprehend youthful zeal and effort. It was terrific to watch even if the drive pass didn't last more than five minutes.

I ended up driving to Copt Oak to see it. Groups of people were standing outside the pub there. It was 15 minutes or so behind schedule.

Admittedly you can't see much in this picture but the lights do mark the outline of the tractor. There must have been 30-40 many of them blaring out Baby Shark.
