Something Beautiful

Sem Fim tonight, 22 of us in the end, and a few new folks, which was lovely. Most of my time chatting with the French guy who's been here over thirty years.

Called in on Margreth and Göran beforehand - they haven’t been coming because of health issues. As usual, so welcoming and generous.

(Sem Fim, for newcomers, is an old olive oil factory; sem fim means without end, and refers to the augurs used in the olive pressing process. The restaurant is owned by a Dutch guy who's been here forever, and gives a special deal to us outsiders on Sunday night.)

Went to church last night, so today we went on a walk just over the border in Spain, beautiful clear light, a reservoir, birds of prey, sheep, and very few trees.

Mary's Voice: For the Mighty One has done great things for me. (Luke 1v49) In the Magnificat, Mary extolling both God's transcendence - way beyond anything human, but together with his immanence - he has personally done something beautiful for me.

Not sure where I've gone wrong with the videos, but here is the one that goes with today's words.
