Big Adventure planned. 
A later than planned start. Weather different to forcast. An objective we really really wanted. Limited time. 
Human (heauristic) traps lining up. 
For once, listened to the gut feeling and deployed plan B. Then plan C. Then plan D!

Plan D was still a big old adventure. 
I've never had wind and wave conditions like that. A headwind, with waves coming from behind and huge gusts from every direction.
Too focused to be scared but very very aware of not messing up, and that we'd be no help to each other if we did. 
Think I've found my Open Water limit in a canoe!
Got to camp at dusk after 4 hours to travel 5k. A giggly adrenaline fuelled brew was made then we both just sat on the floor for an almost an hour. 
Hunkered down for a lovely evening, by the fire and an exuasted early night.
