Grumpy Old Man

Have Gull

A beautiful sunrise and a slightly frosty start to the day, in fact the temperature out on the deck hasn't risen above freezing all day. I was indoors most of the morning, waiting for the gas boiler man to phone back, but when Mrs M returned I did a bit of gardening down on the bank, pulling off dead fern fronds and the like.

After lunch I just had to go out. We don't get much sunshine on our garden between early morning and mid-afternoon at this time of year. It's rather frustrating to see the houses on top of the bank on the other side of the road bathed in sunshine!

I walked down Jacob's Ladder to the town with the sun in my eyes, and had a wander round the North Pier, along the beach and along the Esplanade. Plenty of opportunity for pictures. My old favourite 'Havgull' was moored up at the North Pier and I was delighted to see that for once she lived up to her name - my Blip today!

Came back via the Corran Halls and up a different path and walked up to the McCaig’s Tower viewpoint to admire the view. Good to see the moon rising above the trees - my extra today.

Back for a cuppa and the beginnings of a beautiful sunset.
