Pit Head

Head winding wheel.this is south crofty mine,it closed in 1998 after 400 years of tin mining which was high value tin ,will be coming back to life in 2027.new water treatment plant opened last November it is the building on the left in the foreground.the coastline stone building in front is for the homeless to stay until they find a more permanent place.we passed this on our way to Camborne this morning.we needed a few groceries being we did not go shopping on Saturday.made a fruit cake and mince pies when we came home .I put the bread maker on before we left .
