Deep Roots!
It was dry this morning so I put on warm clothes and went out to tidy up the garden. The herb patch was quite over grown and the chives and lemon balm had really taken over. I started digging and managed to get the lemon balm out with (I hope) all the roots. However the chives were a different story. They had grown rather big and weren’t for budging. Frank was out so Bob to the rescue! He came with a spade that was long and narrow and in no time he had it out.I cleared all the rest of the bed and planted spring bulbs in there. I then had to clean the path as there was soil everywhere.
I feel very satisfied and hope the bulbs will bring some spring cheer!
The herbs will be in pots in future as they do tend to take over.
I came in and read my book until I dropped off.
Then it was time for a cuppa and peanut butter sandwich. While I was having that I decided to draw my little side table and contents.
We watched some ‘Mindful Narrowboat’ on YouTube. I find the girl - Vanessa - inspirational, and it’s what got me into art journalling.
Nearly time for tea, Frank is making something with Tofu.
Hope you’ve all had a good day.
