Lake District Day 1- Bassenthwaite Lake

A very early rise this morning: I got out of bed at 3 'o clock, to be picked up by Ton around 50 minutes later. On to Zuidhorn for Herman, after which we arrived at Schiphol around 6 'o clock. Wijnand was already waiting for us at Schiphol Plaza. The flight to Newcastle went without any problems. We had an odd thing at the car rental company, where the lady who gave us the keys thought the tank was empty. Together with her we went to get some fuel, but that didn't work at all. As it turned out, the tank was full after all!

After lunch in Keswick, we arrived at our vacation home in Portinscale around 1 and then it was time for our first shoot! There had been some beautiful light, but unfortunately when we arrived at the location we aimed for, the light was pretty much gone. I managed to get this shot before the light disappeared altogether...

Still, the sky looked OK so we kept shooting and I managed to get the shot that I uploaded as an extra. Now it's time to catch up on some sleep!
