FRONT STREET
I did a few chores this morning and then watched TV for a while. I was waiting for an afternoon phone call from my GP. He phoned around 2.20pm. He wanted to know if I was happy to continue with the higher dose of painkillers. I told him I would rather not take them at all as I seem to be suffering some side effects - sleeping badly and feeling tired and sluggish.... and they aren't really helping with the pain much either. So he said I could stop ... but I have to do it gradually. I ran out of tablets yesterday so he prescribed 15 low dose ones I will take one a day for 10 days and then one every other day for 10 days..Then get back to him for a further review.
Around 3pm I headed down to the village. First stop was the health centre. I received a letter from the osteoporosis dept at the hospital to say I needed a few blood tests before I could go and get the first of my new injections. So I made an appointment for 23rd Dec. I also asked about the results of my endoscopy. I already knew some of the findings but some hadn't come through --- the receptionist checked and they still hadn't been received. Shes going to look into it and get back to me.
Next stop was the chemists to collect the painkillers. They were ready but I had a long wait as they had to be " signed off " by a pharmacist -- and he was busy. Then the usual food shopping at Herons and Tesco..
Took my blip shot looking along the old part of Front Street. The Mono Monday theme is STREET. Thanks to McCaviti for hosting.
The weather today was rainy this morning but by the time I went out it was dry. But it was quite chilly.
