Catherine Wheel

We put the Christmas Tree up today, so baubles were the obvious choice for my images for 52 frames this week. 


Our tree is full of special baubles, each with its own memories attached. Choosing just one was difficult but I opted for this beautiful hand made ribbon 'Catherine Wheel' bauble. It adorns our tree every year and brings back bittersweet memories of my friend Marion who is sadly no longer with us. We spent a wonderful day a number of years ago making these and I found her's in a box where we worked after she had gone. It is packed up very carefully every year to ensure it will last and continue to be a part of our celebrations every year.
