Shap

Bit of a mammoth day today, but got further than planned and decided that I could get a day ahead of myself. Followed the M6 a lot of the time and got to just south of Carlisle. It rained. A lot. Stopped in a tearoom in Tebay and saturated their tablecloth by putting my gloves down on it. I sheltered in this phone box to adjust my map and eat a few oatcakes. Nice thing was that it had dried up (and indeed become sunny) in the late afternoon so I had mostly dried out by the time I reached the campsite.
