Daragh

Came to visit us and we woke up thinking that perhaps we were crossing the Irish Sea in a small boat.
It certainly left its presence known here in North Devon with trees strewn across the roads and footpaths. Dippy and I walked into town, the main A39 was deserted as was town with only a handful of shops open. We found a coffee shop and enjoyed a croissant and warm drink.
In retuning across the old bridge (see extra) it was obvious everybody had woken up and presumed (met office notification)that by 11 o’clock everything was going to be fine in their cars and headed to town. Unfortunately, storm Darragh had other ideas.
With no buses running I had to find a taxi for the last half a mile because crossing over the A39 was impossible.
Checking out the fields below here we counted 5 trees that will require major work and removal.
The storm was still raging as bedtime arrived.
Zzzzzzz
