Highland Vista

Bit of a frustrating day today. While I love the Northwest Highlands it's not, as I'm sure you can probably guess from the picture, the most comfortable terrain to navigate with a broken toe. Using codeine and rum doesn't help much either of course.

It's meant a largely housebound day. If it was bright and sunny that would be fine, I'd have sat in the garden with my book and made the most of it but it's been overcast which means the midgies are out in force so I've been sat indoors with my book for the bulk of the day.

Still, Durness tomorrow which means pavements, Cocoa Mountain and possibly the boat/minibus trip to Cape Wrath.
