I arrived in Cowbridge a bit earlier than usual. I walked through the Physic Gardens, but it's looking bleak at the moment, obviously, and the next stop High Cross church, only to find it was full of school children. Next door is Happy Days, not open until 10 o'clock. The day wasn't going to plan, so on to the first charity shop, and I bought a Christmas decoration for £1, the day now seemed brighter. I doubled back to Happy Days, and they we now open, and I bought two Christmas bags for a £1 each. Went into Savers and they were stocked up with handwarmers, so I bought some more, and then two more charity shops which were a waste of time. I was glad to get to Waitrose for the obligatory coffee, and then on to do the food shop. J arrived just in time to help me choose a poinsettia, not cheap at £8, but I read that there is a shortage of them this year due to white fly disease. I hope it will last. We called in the library on the way home to collect two books I had ordered, so I should have enough over Christmas, thank goodness. I took this photo near the entrance to the Physic Gardens, I think he thought I was going to feed him.
