Saturday
My dear friend, B , booked a belated birthday afternoon tea at a hotel in London for us both and then to visit a candlelight concert.
On Wednesday I received a message from her to say that her dog, Willow, had been knocked down. Amazingly she survived but has had surgery and will need further surgery in a week or two. Understandably, she cancelled the tea but couldn’t with the concert so Lucy and I went instead. Also, ironically, because of storm Darragh her train from Salisbury was cancelled so she wouldn’t have been able to come anyway.
Lucy and I went up and grabbed some street food in an undercover food market next to Victoria station. Very nice it was too. Due to the weather we hopped back on the tube with me using my brand new FREE travel pass…..how old does that make me feel ;-D))
Mr C and I visited the concert venue, central hall Westminster, earlier in the year but I had forgotten how tight the seats were. The string quartet played a variety of Adele’s songs and lasts an hour. The main blip is from the hall looking out to Westminster Abbey.
Extra collage too.
