Continuity

This lovely ceramic piece was handmade by an American lady, a friend of my parents, in 1993 and kindly gifted to us. 
It has survived numerous house moves and is a heartening symbol of continuity in an ever-changing world.
We remember this gentle lady with great fondness at this time of year. She passed away 8 years ago after a long and happy life.
