Illumination Night

Last evening while visiting friends, we went to Onset Beach near Cape Cod in Massachusetts for this annual event. They set up flares all around the bay and light them. The band was playing Big Band music and there was a gentle breeze. Lovely end to a wonderful day with friends.

"The sea rises, the light fails, lovers cling to each other, and children cling to us. The moment we cease to hold each other, the moment we break faith with one another, the sea engulfs us and the light goes out."
