f/4 Roadtrip 2024 Day 1- Bassenthwaite Lake

Travel day today. The f/4 Roadtrip 2024 kicks off.
I left home at 03:30 am and picked up Ron and Herman not much later. At 06:15 we met Wijnand at Schiphol and after a smooth procedure through the airport we arrived in Newcastle at 08:40.

Our Volvo XC60 rental car was picked up with an empty fuel tank that turned out to be full after all.
We arrived in Portinscale near Keswick at 13:00 hours.

Soon after that we went to our first photo location on the shores of lake Bassenthwaite. Unfortunately we were a few minutes late, the best light had just faded away.

Groceries were bought and not long after dinner we went to bed.
Tomorrow the real photography starts.
