An Invitation To The Castle

There was a BAG meeting tonight hosted by the Castle. No, not a gathering of ladies with handbags, the Bus Action Group. A couple of years of hard campaigning has resulted in a transport firm taking on supply a bus to come through our village 3 times in the mornings to take us into Penrith OR to Penruddock to join the Keswick bus.

Unfortunately, as yet, the last bus home from Penrith is 17.10, a bit early for workers to catch.

Our MP, Tim Farron, joined us via internet from his London office. It was just a shame no one had realised that in the baronial hall, we wouldn't be able to hear a laptop speaker. Our local councilor phoned him on her mobile and we sat very silently to hear him speaking.

Earlier in the day we had another trip up to the city, this time for me to visit Dermatology. My last two blood tests hadn't shown anything significant so the Dermatologist was called in to look at my hands and arms. She was mystified and recommended yet another blood test! My 4th in a month! I will also get an appointment for a biopsy to be done.

Even earlier than that, before 9am, we got the holiday lodge kitchen measured up, and an appointment made for a discussion on Saturday.
