Baubles

Not my baubles. I don't have a tree yet. We needed to get the birthday celebrations over before we put up our tree.

So today, I took down the party decorations, which consist mainly of fairy lights, which will be re-deployed to somewhere else in the house. A smarter person may have considered this first and put the right lights in the right places to start with! Doh!

I am also at the point of returning items that are no longer required. I'm guilty of over buying at this time. When I see something lovely I buy it and will think who to give it to later. There was a time when I was just left with that stuff, but I cleverly make a point of returning it before Christmas now. And so to IKEA, where these gorgeous baubles had to come home with me for my not yet bought tree.

The alarming thing I haven't yet divulged is that we can only pick up our tree on Saturday, when I'm getting my haircut. I am leaving my man in sole charge of this task! Although I do keep showing him trees to avoid (thanks Ridgeback- gorgeous but too big). We walked down streets, and I'm saying, not that one, too skinny, look how that one......

I know very little is being absorbed. What the heck, We only have to live with it for 12 days, possibly less. It will, however, have delicious baubles.
