Sunbeams

Exmouth

Today a whole lot of us went on a trip to Exeter.  We took the boat from Exmouth and cruised up the estuary into the canal passing through several locks, a swing bridge and watching wildfowl along the way until we reached the port.  It took two and a half hours to travel 10 miles but was really interesting looking at places and landmarks along the way.

Once in the city a few of us found an ancient pub just off the Cathedral
Close which Sir. Francis Drake frequented and enjoyed a good hearty late lunch as the weather was cold with a sharp wind.  We then walked through the Christmas Market and ended up in a teepee tent for mulled wine sitting around two log fires, before making our way back to our transport to return
 home.

Extras: Exeter Cathedral, people keeping warm
