There'll be blue skies over.....

Unlike a lot of towns, empty shop units don't stay empty for long in Holt.  Normally they are snapped up quickly, usually to become 'Lifestyle' outlets, art galleries or 'good' clothes shops; all the type of place that a slightly upmarket tourist town needs.  I'm not complaining; we still have 'local' shops but if it wasn't for the money brought in by the tourists the town wouldn't be the place I love.  This shop, however, was the exception.  It's been empty since we moved here four years ago; apparently it used to be a dry cleaners but I don't know how long ago that closed.  The problem is, the unit is a little off the main street so only visitors walking to a car park would come across it.

I was pleased to see that it has now been taken by a local Estate Agent who has moved there from a more prominent position on the main street.  Of course, their old unit will be snapped up quickly; I'm guessing it will be upmarket clothes.  Watch this space.....
