New Lens

Not my normal procedure. I rarely sell a Len’s to get another but needs must in hard Financial Times.
I blame Dunchurch Photographic Society for a talk on Wildlife photography last week. I came home thinking I need a teleconverter but I found out that none of my lenses will take one!!! So if I can’t double a Len’s that way then I should buy a longer one!
I looked on Cotswold Cameras and found the one I wanted for £1,000 but I’d rather buy from London Camera Exchange. I put my newish Z 24-200mm up for evaluation and LCE offered £380 for it so the next day I rang the boys in the shop and said I’d rather buy from them so could they give me £400 for my Len’s and I’d pay £1,000 for the Nikon Z 28-400mm. He said yes we can do that for you and so I jumped in the car and went straight there. Tom (in the shop) didn’t even look at my Len’s as he knew it would be boxed as new and in immaculate condition. No dust or anything on it. I paid for the new baby and asked him to remember if any jobs come up (as I’m desperate to get to bare minimum of hours at the s*** hole) I’m the person to ask!
One day I might get my dream job……
