A Xmas tipple

Our 11th Xmas whisky tasting at this little bar in Hitchin and every bit as good as the first but this picture would have been better if we hadn't just drained our glasses.

Had a beer first in a craft beer bar and I mentioned that the previous time is visited I'd had a beer called Paul Rides a Polar Bear. 5 minutes late the guy from the next table ambled over to introduce himself, he is the man himself, brewer/owner and he shows me a picture of himself astride a polar bear sculpture that he used to sit on as a schoolboy and this is the inspiration for the name of the beer. Company is Six Hills brewing and looking at their other offerings I suspect there are similar stories behind the names.
