Birdcage Walk
The morning spent on admin chores including doing battle with GWR refund payments system. Which to be fair to them, isn’t as bad as a lot of admin processes, in that you can eventually speak to a human being, who really will do their best to help you.
An excellent afternoon at the Oxfam shop, getting all the book donations sorted cleaned and organised. Some incoming books looked brand new, so I bought a few presents, including a perfect copy of the latest Sebastian Barry novel for my friend D. After we closed, we made our way round to Zizzi’s for our volunteers Christmas meal. About 20 of us, it was a lovely friendly occasion. After wards I walked along to Birdcage walk to get my blip, as I hadn’t taken anything all day. I think it’s a very appealing tunnel of trees. This is at about 9pm and it was very quiet. When I got home I got a hard stare from Portia. I know she can’t tell the time - but she knew her tea was at least 4 hours late.
