First prize!
This morning I went to the gym then in the afternoon went to I's school with O to watch her in the school Nativity play. She was an angel with a line to say and did look very angelic. It was lovely to watch and they all did very well.
Every year they have a grand raffle and parents donate prizes to make hampers. It was drawn after the play. The head teacher drew out the first number and said "I's nan" I never win anything and was so shocked that I didn't move until O said "Go on, that's you!"
I chose a hamper which was full of goodies including Prosecco, Sauvignon blanc, 6 packets of biscuits, chocolate, a gingerbread house, 2 jars of chutney, a mug with a teddy in and a Father Christmas shaped tin filled with chocolate coins. I think that the family will have to help out with a lot of them, what a lovelt gift for Christmas!
The extra (which was going to be my blip) is of a big, beautiful mature beech tree in the park that blew down in Storm Darragh at the weekend. Workmen were cutting it up to take away. Part of it was given to a neighbour of F's who is a wood turner so it won't be wasted.
