Abstract Thursday - ‘Transparent’
It was overcast and drizzly today, with the kind of damp chilliness that seeps into your very bones. We were huddled together at communion this morning with our winter coats and scarves on, and St Luke’s isn’t even the coldest church in the Benefice. If it’s like this again next week I shall be bringing a hot water bottle along to the service.
I had meant to do some more Christmas shopping this afternoon, but decided to snuggle down indoors. I shall do another batch of cards this evening (I never seem to be in a card-writing mood during the day). The aim is to set out for the shops really early tomorrow morning to arrive when they open. I expect everyone else will have the same plan, so I’m braced for it to be hellishly busy from the off.
I knew exactly what to create my abstract image from today for the challenge theme of ‘Transparent’. This is a clear glass angel, which may or may not have come from Venice - I can’t remember. I had an interesting conversation with a couple of friends the other day about encounters with angels. According to an expert on the tv last weekend, you will know you’ve seen one if you experience a feeling of deep peace after it has gone. My glass angel has been put through a couple of different editing apps to make it more ethereal. Many thanks to Ingeborg for hosting.
