We went into Leicester today for our usual cheese supplies. Also bought a ham which will be cooked tomorrow and frozen. There’s a continental market all along Gallowtree Gate until Christmas and it was nice to have a wander round. A few very nice stalls and we bought a couple of things. Mr I was very taken with a huge wooden bear, about 5 feet tall, reduced to £1000…! And a Turkish gentleman selling beautifully decorated hand-made bowls and lanterns (I may have bought one). I like the carved tables in this picture.
