A big read
Another very misty start to the day and it stayed damp and cold right through.
Spent the morning indoors, writing Christmas cards and doing other odd jobs.
This afternoon we'd been invited to Dunollie for the annual volunteer Christmas party. There were 32 or so crammed into a fairly small room at Dunollie House with drinks and food laid out. We'd had lunch before setting out, so I made do with a small cup of mulled wine. We had a quiz and a chance to chat, and left soon after 4.30. I had intended to take a Blip there, but forgot my camera!
So my Blip today is of a book I've borrowed from the library - 'The Beatles - 10 years that shook the world'. It's an amazing book, going into great detail about the band between 1961 and 1970 and with a daily diary too. The only problem is that it's a huge read, but the typeface is very small and I can only just read it. It could take some time to get through - it's also very heavy so I have to read it sitting at the table!
Quote of the Day: 'From the moment I picked up your book until I laid it down, I was convulsed with laughter. Some day I intend reading it!' - Groucho Marx.
