Another day of small tasks
It started at 7:30 when the electricians arrived to install the charger for our e-car. Actually they were a bit late so I had time to take this photograph. The charger is now installed and I have a bit more knowledge of how the somewhat complicated electrics of our house work. The charger has its own little fuse box and a cut-out switch so that's fairly simple anyway.
A bit of breakfast, including yesterday's saffron buns, and then we went out for a walk in the forest behind the house.
After that we set up the wall of plastic sheets sheltering Betty's veranda from the winter breezes. We started that at the time of Covid and it increased the shelter so much we put it back at the start of every winter.
By the time that was done darkness had fallen so I followed Jan inside and lit the woodburner. I was fairly cold after a few hours out in the breezy -2°C. Meanwhile Jan was warming the first tasting of her new glögg (mulled wine) and it turned out to be delightful if still slightly rough.
If you wish to feel sleepy I can recommend spending long enough outside to get chilled quite well, then come indoors and sit in front of a really warm stove, while drinking some warm alcohol. It would have been very easy to doze off.
However the roasting chicken and veggies were spreading their delicious smells so we woke ourselves up and moved on to dinner.
Finally blip was calling and here we are!
Tomorrow an even earlier start as we need to in town at the library to hear the music college's choir doing Lucia. Doors open at 07:15...
