We had a poorly girl today , Arthur went back to school but as he has recovered Freya has started with the virus ,Chris too . Poor Jess is exhausted trying to keep it all going, she worked from home today so that if Freya didn’t settle we could take her home .
She managed until almost 3pm , then she packed her little furry friends into her rucksack , took it to the door and asked to go home . So we took her ! We made good use of the extra time it gave us to get on with some jobs .
We had filled the day to that point with pleasant things , some painting with glitter glue and sticking of stars , watching the short Mousehole Cat film and then some episodes of Bluey ,a trip out with Bramble to post some cards to neighbours ( she got to hold Brambles lead which is the best bit) and then putting together some jigsaws .
The photo shows both Freya and Arthur’s Christmas candles . They are lit at each mealtime , Freya insists that Arthur’s is lit too even though he is at school . Simple pleasures.
We were taking Freya to the Zoo at Blackpool tomorrow a day out , thankfully I hadn’t bought the tickets , thought it best to leave it to the last minute . Now we will visit after Christmas.
Now to the job of wrapping gifts while we listen to Coldplays new album. I really , really like it (enough to consider having Spotify !)
