Listening to the exam pieces

Way back, when I first entered the working world, I earned my living for a few years as a self employed piano and clarinet teacher, with a bit of organ playing a couple of times a month for the two services the organist at my church at the time least enjoyed. (The Family Service, as it was then called, and Evensong.).

These days, I just have the two piano pupils, and I'm not looking to replace them once they move on to the next stage of their lives. They're both edging towards completing the detailed work on their Grade 5 pieces, and hopefully will both take the exams soon.

This is my standard, sit back and watch view, as I listen to the playthrough of the previous week's work before we launch into the lesson proper.
