Drake Long-tailed Duck

The long-tailed ducks have been back in Orkney from the summering areas in Iceland and Scandinavia for quite a few weeks, but not in great numbers and I haven't had a chance to get photos.
This drake was busy feeding on the Peedie Sea in Kirkwall and was near the sluice gate. So I climbed the few steps onto the platform there and got quite a high angle on the bird. It saw me but carried on diving for food.
