Rocks
Rocks
Rocks, where would we be without them? There would be nothing to stand on for a start! These are granite and also some kind of lead ore, probably quartz, barytes and some iron pyrites. Once an (ex) geologist, always a geologist perhaps :) They make nice decorative adornments to the garden pond. This is where I dump rocks from all over the world - as I always bring a little sample back. There are rocks from Bavaria, the Alps, Andes, India, Yosemite - oh and Teesdale :)
I wonder what a Geologist, digging around here in 5000 years, would make of this little lot. It might be a 'tad' confusing to piece it all together!
Tomorrow, perhaps I will move from the material and back to the social. Depends whether humans are more interesting than rocks. Well, in a lot of cases, say our current crop of Politicians, I would say rocks are more interesting and have more integrity and intelligence than any of them. We should try having a rock as PM, it would be interesting to see if it performed better or in fact made any difference at all !
