Beans

My beans have reached the top of the 6' high fence. I now know how the Jack and the Beanstalk story eventuated. They grow almost before your eyes.
They also have a couple of flowers, the only ones available for Flower Friday (thanks Anni).

I had a haircut and did some shopping. Whilst in the supermarket I remembered I haven't made a Christmas cake! It won't be very matured but I got the ingredients. 
I used to do one for us and one for Graham but we don't seem to get through it so the last couple of years I've made one to share. He likes it marzipanned and iced. I wouldn't bother for us but pleased I'm forced to as I like it too.
