Thankfulness
The asking-price offer on our house came through first thing. And the added blessing is that the lady is chain free, wants to exchange in the New Year but is flexible about completion dates. Hallelujah! What an incredible gift.
Elbows had an operation on his hand today, to remove and correct the damage caused by Dupuytren's contracture. The hospital he needed to get to is notoriously famous for its awful parking and travel options so he went in by train, with me dropping him off - which meant I was a little late to Bible study - the last in our Isaiah series. It was a wonderful time together.
We wrapped children’s books, I went home, did some deliveries and then headed to the London hospital Elbows was in by underground. He was still in recovery so I sat in a coffee shop with a book for an hour. He had a general anaesthetic so I knew he’d be a little while.
All had gone well but we couldn’t leave until after 7.30pm. We took an uber home, I cooked supper and again, it was late late by the time we ate.
He’s named his bandaged hand Dupey. :-)
A blessed day for sure.
