A rare visit to the barber

Mr C had to go to Morpeth for the 6 month dental check up. I trotted down the hill to buy the gift I saw yesterday when pottering with Jo that I think Katy will like, then plodded back up.

It’s a lovely sunny day at last but I’m cooking and cleaning up for Katy and Colin coming tonight. I’m also doing some prep for Lynne and Gavin on Sunday as Mr C assures me the weather will be good for a climb up Simonside to see if the lone tree on the ridge has been decorated. (And not blown away in the recent gale).

Here we have Nathaniel (10) at the barber - at last. He hates getting his hair cut but in the end he was happy with a Haaland cut. That’s the final look on the right. He still has it long. Luckily he didn’t go for the fully-shaved sides and under the back though it has been shaved short in both those areas. Ella now has a neat bob and looks very mature. They are off tomorrow. It’s a long journey but was the cheapest - Newcastle to Dubai and on to Cape Town. #3 daughter will be on her own with the children till Luke joins them on Tuesday.r
